We’re incredibly proud to share some exciting news from our workshop.

Prime Sash Windows ( https://www.primesashwindows.co.uk/), powered by Joinery Core, has been named a finalist in the Smart Factory category at The Manufacturer MX Awards 2026.

For us, this recognition means a great deal because the story behind Prime Sash Windows began with something very familiar: traditional joinery.

Traditional craft, modern manufacturing

Making timber windows is a craft built on knowledge, precision and experience. Those things haven’t changed.

What has changed is what we can build around them.

Over the past few years, we have invested in CNC machinery, digital processes and our own production management software, Joinery Core, to create a more connected way of manufacturing.

The objective was never to replace craftsmanship with technology.

It was to give our team better tools.

By connecting information, workflow and production more effectively, we can bring greater consistency and visibility to the manufacturing process while continuing to produce timber windows in a way that respects the skills behind them.

Built inside a working joinery business

Joinery Core was developed from inside our own operation, shaped around the challenges we encounter every day in the workshop.

Prime Sash Windows has given us an opportunity to bring those ideas together on a larger scale - combining traditional timber manufacturing with digital production management, modern machinery and new tools such as our online 3D window and door configurator.

Being recognised in the Smart Factory category feels particularly special because it acknowledges that entire journey. The official shortlist places Prime Sash Windows powered by Joinery Core alongside four other manufacturers in the category.

A proud moment for our workshop

There are much larger names represented across The Manufacturer MX Awards this year, which makes reaching the final especially meaningful for our relatively small team.

Behind the technology are still the people measuring, machining, assembling, sanding,

finishing and checking every product that leaves our workshop.

Technology may be changing the way we manufacture.

Craftsmanship remains at the heart of what we manufacture.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved - and very excited to see where the next stage takes us.
